Safety and When to See a Clinician

VocalCalm is an educational wellness tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.

Use Cases

VocalCalm is suitable for guided self-practice, prevention, and between-session support where clinically appropriate.

Seek Assessment If

  • Hoarseness lasts more than 3 weeks.
  • You have throat pain, swallowing issues, or breathing changes.
  • Your voice change is sudden, severe, or progressively worsening.

Symptom Cluster Red Flags

  • MTD / strain cluster: pain escalation after gentle practice or no trend improvement after a consistent week.
  • Fatigue cluster: repeated voice drop-out or recovery taking more than 24 hours.
  • Neurological concern cluster: sudden pitch breaks, speech changes, or weakness with no clear load trigger.
  • Airway concern cluster: noisy breathing, shortness of breath, or throat tightness with breathing impact.

Important Note

Results vary based on symptoms, consistency, and underlying conditions. For diagnosis and treatment planning, consult a GP, ENT specialist, or speech and language therapist.
